Google Analytics can tell you most important things you want to know about how your visitors find you and how they interact with your DNN Portal. Google Analytics has the enterprise-level capabilities you'd expect from a high-end web analytics that cost a lot, also provides timesaving integration with AdWords as well as tracks all of your non-AdWords initiatives as well.
Setup and Installation
There are several factors to consider when setting up Google Analytics. There are third party modules out there. but none is better than simple addition of the code to your default.aspx to ensure that you get the most out of it. In our initial consultation we review your portal and requirements with you, we discuss your current marketing strategy, objectives and desired metrics (goals, KPI (key performance indicators), report needs, and more.) once we fully understand the business, success factors, and custom requirements.
Based on the reporting, segmentation and profiling requirements, you can configures and apply proper Google Analytics tracking code throughout your Portal to effectively track visitors across all segments of your website. Filters and profiles for segmentation of data can also be installed along with the appropriate access administration and individual user settings.
Google Analytics can also import your Adwords expenditure for specific keywords.
